Established in 1901, the Commonwealth Hotel is still a magnificent example of the architecture of the time. This old dame sits on the corner of Allen and Macrossan Steets, South Townsville and was built to catch the breeze. We have 20 guest rooms upstairs, some with great views of Castle Hill. Rooms start from just $40.00 per night. We are a family pub and our patrons can enjoy our swimming pool while relaxing in our huge beer garden. We don't have pokies but offer Bingo every Sunday as well as Keno. If you enjoy the feel of a country pub, like good old fashioned service, come down and see us and make us your local.
